Where are we?

We are a 90 minute flight from Miami, 3 hours from New York and 3.5 hours from Toronto.

The Turks and Caicos Islands, once known as the 'Isles of Perpetual June', are a British Overseas Territory lying at the southeastern extremity of the Bahamian Chain 90 miles north of the island of Hispaniola. The Islands cover 196 square miles.

There are eight principal islands and a multitude of small cays. The eastern Turks Islands are separated from the western Caicos Islands by the Columbus Passage, a deep water channel spanning 22 miles that plummets at the edge of the barrier reef into a magnificent abyss some 9,000 feet deep. Along the walls of this tropical Atlantic wonder can be found some of the most exciting and lively scuba diving venues in the world.

Only six of the islands and four of the cays are inhabited with a resident population of approximately 35,000. The centre of Government is located at Cockburn Town on the capital, Grand Turk.  The principal machinery of Government is shared between the capital Island of Grand Turk and the bustling home of the best beach in the world, Providenciales.

The Islands boast 200 miles of gold sand beaches, many of which are untrammelled by human footprints, well and truly exemplifying the TCI motto, "beautiful by nature".
